Large-format sintered stone kitchen benchtop, supplied as a porcelain family slab in Sydney

Colours on this page

Asetica supplies large-format sintered stone slabs, the higher-spec end of the porcelain family, to stonemasons, cabinet makers and builders across Sydney and NSW. Every slab is 3200 x 1600 mm. 12 mm is the standard benchtop thickness, and most colours also come in 20 mm. You can see full slabs at our Padstow showroom (by booking only), and as a guide slabs start from about $820 per 12 mm slab (Classic range, including GST). These are indicative slab-only prices: your stonemason templates, cuts and installs the benchtop and gives you the final price.

Is sintered stone the same as a porcelain slab?

They are close relatives: sintered stone is the higher-spec end of the same fired family as porcelain, made from natural minerals with no resin binder, and it is the name Asetica sells its range under. Our porcelain benchtops guide and porcelain benchtops vs sintered stone comparison explain the differences in full.

What sizes and thicknesses do the slabs come in?

Every colour comes in one large format, so most islands and full-height splashbacks can be cut from a single piece with fewer joins.

Specification Asetica sintered stone
Slab size 3200 x 1600 mm (5.12 m2 per slab before offcuts)
Thickness 12 mm is the standard benchtop thickness. Most colours also come in 20 mm, on request with minimum quantities. Some colours are 12 mm only and a few, including the three full-body colours, are 20 mm only.

  • Loro White (Classic range): a soft, warm white with fine veining, and the most versatile colour in the range, at home on a kitchen island or a full bathroom wall. Matte, 12 mm.
  • Taj Mahal Royal (Designer range): warm cream tones with bolder, flowing veining, often chosen for waterfall islands and feature walls. Supplied in a matte finish in NSW, 12 mm only.
  • Crema Travertine (Designer range): a travertine look in soft beige with linear veining, without the porosity or upkeep. It suits period homes and new builds alike. 3D Carved, 12 mm.
  • Sabbiosa Med (Classic range): new to the range, a medium concrete-look grey with soft vertical veining, built for contemporary kitchens and minimalist facades. Matte, 12 mm.

Porcelain slabs for Sydney homes, outdoors and projects

Sintered stone is non-porous, UV stable and unaffected by salt air, so it holds its colour through a Sydney summer and does not absorb moisture on a coastal site. It is used for alfresco benchtops, outdoor kitchens, pool surrounds and facades as well as kitchens and bathrooms.

In Sydney, Landmark Group led a $70m redevelopment of the Caringbah Bowls Club. Its new restaurant, bar and club area, The Willarong, needed a surface that could handle tens of thousands of visitors each year, and specifiers chose Essential Gold (Luxury range) in 20 mm. Landmark's design team were confident using it in this high-traffic area. See the project.
