Sintered stone kitchen benchtop and island bench, supplied as a porcelain family slab in Perth

Colours on this page

Asetica supplies large-format sintered stone slabs, the higher-spec end of the porcelain family, to stonemasons, cabinet makers and builders across Perth and WA. Every slab is 3200 x 1600 mm. 12 mm is the standard benchtop thickness, and most colours also come in 20 mm. You can see full slabs at our Subiaco showroom (walk-ins 7 days), and as a guide slabs start from about $820 per 12 mm slab (Classic range, including GST). These are indicative slab-only prices: your stonemason templates, cuts and installs the benchtop and gives you the final price.

Is sintered stone the same as a porcelain slab?

They are close relatives: sintered stone is the higher-spec end of the same fired family as porcelain, made from natural minerals with no resin binder, and it is the name Asetica sells its range under. Our porcelain benchtops guide and porcelain benchtops vs sintered stone comparison explain the differences in full.

What sizes and thicknesses do the slabs come in?

Every colour comes in one large format, so most islands and full-height splashbacks can be cut from a single piece with fewer joins.

Wild Ferrara (Luxury range) is available in WA only. It has dramatic vein movement in grey, ochre and cream, in a matte finish that softens contrast without losing depth, and comes in 12 mm. It suits benchtops, splashbacks, bathrooms and statement walls. See it at full slab size in our Subiaco showroom.

Taj Mahal Royal (Designer range, 12 mm only) is supplied in a matte finish in WA, as it is in NSW, while Victoria receives it polished.

Lighter colours you can see at Subiaco include Loro White (Classic range), an off-white with subtle texture and depth, and Crema Travertine (Designer range), a soft beige travertine look with linear veining. Travertino Pearl, with its 3D Carved finish, is on show in Perth too.

Porcelain slabs for Perth homes, outdoors and projects

Sintered stone is UV stable and non-porous, so it holds its colour in full Western Australian sun and does not absorb moisture. It is used for alfresco benchtops, outdoor kitchens, pool surrounds and facades as well as kitchens and bathrooms.

Where has it been used around Perth?

  • Tropical Green kitchen, Perth. Renovate For You chose Tropical Green (Luxury range) in a matte finish for a family kitchen renovation, with stonemasons WA Marble and Granite and cabinetry by DIY Kitchens. See the Tropical Green kitchen.
  • Mount Claremont renovation. Retreat Design used Ardesia Nero (Designer range), whose matte finish diffuses the light from large kitchen windows. The stonemason was Westop Marble and Granite. See the Mount Claremont project.
  • VM Building showroom and office, Perth. Stone Creations fabricated 12 mm Fior di Bosco (Designer range) for VM Building, including a door finished in the stone and a book-matched back wall. See the VM Building project.
